About John
John provides public relations guidance and strategies as well as PR services and support for Altyris clients. John received his BA in Public Relations from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MBA from Pfeiffer University. He is an APR Certified PR Professional, a distinction given for proven ability in PR strategies and ethical practice.
John has more than twelve years’ experience in public relations, research and communications strategies. In addition to his experience with traditional media, John is a frontrunner in the use of social media marketing. His work in this area includes podcast development and marketing, blog creation and management, virtual social world marketing and other social network activities. He recently completed the social marketing section of a college textbook on marketing and is a frequent university lecturer on the subject.
